Welcome to the Focus On Lyme Blog! We are so happy that you are here. We wanted to create a place for you to be able to have a community, to learn from other Lyme Disease sufferers, stay up to date on research and more.
Focus On Lyme began because of my mother, Tammy Crawford. I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease in 2012 and our journey was similar to many others...misdiagnoses, debilitating symptoms, unnecessary testing, and harsh treatments. Through our journey, Tammy saw how much change was needed, and took action. Although I am continuing to improve, there is still no cure in sight. At the end of the day, there is too much confusion, sickness, cost, and unanswered questions around Lyme.
Tammy became so frustrated which motivated her to ensure no one had to go through what we did. With a strong background in events and funding medical research, she put her experience to work and created Focus On Lyme.
Our mission is to improve diagnostics, treatment, prevention and advocacy for patients suffering from Lyme and associated tick-borne diseases. With your help, we will make a difference.
